AUM
Assets Under Management (AUM) represent the total market value of all the assets that a mutual fund or Asset Management Company manages on behalf of its investors. It reflects the overall size of the fund and is often seen as an indicator of investor confidence and the fund’s popularity. A higher AUM may suggest that the fund is well-established, but it does not necessarily guarantee better performance. AUM can fluctuate based on market movements and investor inflows or outflows. It is one of the key factors used to evaluate mutual funds, along with returns, expense ratio, and investment strategy.
